LAWNDALE RESIDENTIAL
3100 - 3600 blocks of Douglass Boulevard
The Lawndale Restoration Apartments is a two-phase project (in partnership with Acorn Development) comprising the renovation of 81 units (phase one) in seven buildings in Chicago's Lawndale neighborhood on the south west side. The one, two, three, and four bedroom units are designated project-based, Section 8 to preserve and improve affordable housing.
Phase two will encompass a 251 unit project in 17 existing buildings. These are located in a two square mile area, most centering around the 3100 - 3600 blocks of Douglass Boulevard. The buildings are all spacious three story walk-ups built between 1890 and 1940. Some are greystones, most have 12 to 24 units, and several have courtyards. As in phase one, all units are reserved for project-based, Section 8.
AMENITIES
Lawndale's amenities include close proximity to downtown, attractive classic Chicago-style buildings, many on a beautiful boulevard. The section of Lawndale north of Roosevelt Road is experiencing some revitalization, including condominium conversions. That activity is now spreading south, spurring a revitalization of another artery - Odgen Avenue (along historic Route 66).
ENJOY NEW BEGINNINGS
